How to Use your Libre Tea Glass
How to use your Libre Tea Glass – 2 Ways
#1 – For teas in the glass:
Step 1 – remove lid and tea filter, add 2-3 grams of loose- leaf tea to the glass.
Step 2 - filter, add hot water and allow the tea to steep.
Steam Advisory – Use Caution With Boiling Water — Allow Time For Steam To Dissipate Prior To Twisting On Lid – STEAM PRESSURE MAY CAUSE LEAKS
#2 – For teas with limited steeping times:

| Remove the lid and filter; carefully add hot water to below the rim of the tea glass.
Twist the filter on securely; add 2 -3 grams of loose- leaf tea on top of the filter. Wait 2-3 minutes prior to twisting on lid so steam pressure does not force a leak upon inverting. |
After a brief cool down period, twist on the lid securely and slowly turn the glass upside down to steep the tea.
|
Twist off the lid and filter together.
Enjoy. (Note: spent tea leaves remain in the filter and can be reused) |

I’d like to recommend that you print the warning about leaks due to steam inside the box. I found out too late and had tea burst all over my desk. I re-checked the instruction page in the product box and found no mention of it until I visited your website.
When ever one is using boiling water there is always a possibility of the hot steam causing a problem. This is a good recommendation and We are updating our packaging with this warning.
I’ve been enjoying my tea glass, and really like the concept, but I’ve been having a lot of trouble with leaking. It’s definitely not from steam pressure, because it leeks quite substantially with just cold water. If I make sure the gaskets are in place, tighten both lids securely, and turn the glass upside down, it leaks quickly enough to drain the glass in a couple minutes. I’m kind of baffled. Note that I’m almost sure it’s the seal in the strainer that’s failing, because water escapes between the glass and the strainer piece.
Hi Abram, I am sorry to hear that your Libre is leaking. Yes, it does sound like a new seal is needed. Please email us at info@libretea.com and let us know which model you have and your address and we will send you a new seal right away. The Libre Team
