The libre tea glass is thermal because it is double walled – so hot tea stays hot and cold tea stays cold
Q. can you use a tea bag in the libre tea glass
Although the libre tea glasses are designed for loose leaf it can certainly be used with a tea bag
Q. how long do the tea glasses keep tea hot?
The Libre glass’n poly keeps your tea hot about an hour, the glass’n glass model keeps it warm a little longer about an hour and fifteen minutes.
Q. Where are the Libre tea glasses made?
The tea glasses are made in China
Q. why does it say USD for currency on your website when you are a Canadian Company?

Libre glass’n glass style:
Q. what do the Chinese characters say in English?
As you may know it is very challenging to directly translate Chinese to English – I am advised it is “plum blossoms are here and spring is here, friends are coming for tea”
Q. will the hot water for tea break the glass?
The inner glass is a glass designed to withstand high temperatures of boiling water and should not break.
Q. what if the filter falls through and into the glass?
There are small metal tabs on the sides of the filter itself and these can be gently pulled away from the filter – you may need a small edge to pull out with – I’ve used a fork prong if I couldn’t grab it with my fingers
Q. will the Libre glass’n glass break?
It is glass and so will break if dropped or hit. Last summer I broke one when it was on the side of my backpack coming through a large store door as it swung and hit me on the side of the bag where the glass was.
Libre glass’n poly style:
Q. will the Libre glass’n poly break?
This Libre is much more durable than the glass’n glass although I have heard of a few that have broken. Over all customers have advised it is more durable than they expect and personally I have dropped it on a kitchen floor from counter height, on the road out of my car and on a cement garage floor without breakage.
Q. will you be making a filter that has a finer mesh?
We are working on this now as customers that drink a lot of roiboos and herbals comment that bits of the ‘leaves’ come through.
Q. what do I do if I have a tea glass that leaks?
Check to ensure that rubber seals are in place in both the filter connector and the lid. Also please ensure there are no tea leaves on the threads where the pieces twist together and that these surfaces are dry – tea bits and water bubbles can compromise the seal.
If your tea glass is still challenged please contact us at info@libretea.com and describe where the leakage is coming from and we will ensure it is fixed or replaced for your to keep on enjoying tea moments.
Q. will the lid fit onto the tea glass?
Yes the lid will fit directly into the tea glass if you choose to omit the filter connector after steeping. Or use it with just the lid for any of your favourite beverages.
